$4.5M to bolster COVID-19 isolation food supports program
The Government of Nunavut has allocated almost $4.5 million to help Nunavummiut access food hampers during COVID-19.
If you been advised to isolate because of COVID-19 or need food supports to be able to isolate safely, there is help available.
If you do not have friends, family or people to get food and supplies for you, please email IsolationSupports@gov.nu.ca or call 1-888-902-0872 to get the process started.

As of this morning Nunavut has 172 positive cases of COVID-19.
We have active cases in 13 communities – the reported numbers are:
20 in Arviat.
Eight Baker Lake.
10 in Cambridge Bay.
Five in Chesterfield Inlet.
38 in Iqaluit.
17 in Kinngait.,
Eight in Pangnirtung.
One in Pond Inlet.
Four in Qikiqtarjuaq.
38 in Rankin Inlet.
One in Sanikiluaq.
Six in Sanirajak.
Seven in Whale Cove.
In addition, there is one presumptive case in Taloyoak. There are 26 reported recoveries today. There have been 202 total reported recoveries in this outbreak.

45 in Rankin Inlet; and
10 in Sanirajak.
In addition, there is still one presumptive case in Sanikiluaq. We also have a presumptive case in Whale Cove. There are eight recoveries today. There have been 24 total recoveries in this outbreak.

As of this morning Nunavut has two positive cases of COVID-19. They are two individuals in Pangnirtung.
This was announced a few minutes ago and Dr. Patterson can get into specifics, if necessary.
I know that many of us were hoping for a more normal Christmas like the ones we had prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
